They have an empty lot across the road from their house so we pitched our tents there. Rick and I and the kids rode with mom and dad in the RV. Sandy, Lee, Netta and Ken brought their pull behind camper. Then Pat and Cheryl, their twins, Aaron and his girlfriend, Tim and his wife and little boy all came from Wisconsin to meet us there.
We hung out around the fire in the evening, moved from shady spot to shady spot during the day and laughed all the while. The kids rode their bikes up and down the dead end street and pestered the neighbor's dogs. Freddie decked out our portapotty and supplemented the cowboy coffee with the real stuff from the Bunn. Uncle Bob let the kids feed his fish everything from brownies to hamburgers! They even had a cake for mom's 59th!
On Sunday, Bob busted out his trike and led a caravan to an excellent steam show. The kids loved it. Old time lumber mill, caboose, apple press and trains of all sizes to ride and watch. They each ended up with an engineer hat and Bob gave Bry a train whistle! (thanks!)
Overall an excellent Higgins-style weekend!
And Erin even got her kiss!

Sounds like you had a great time. I love the engineer caps. And who was giving a kiss to my Erin Jean??
Love you all, Aunt Lauren
