Happy Birthday 'La!

Happy Birthday to my baby girl!

I can't believe two years ago tonight I was in the hospital not knowing if we would have two daughters or two sons. Well since those words "You have a girl!" we have been smiling and laughing with joy!

Good Morning Birthday Girl! First picture of the morning and she is smiling already. When I sing up the stairs in the morning to wake everyone up, Alannah is the one who is the first to respond with "Mommy!! Morning Mommy!"

A few minutes later, hair done and teeth almost shiny.

Before breakfast, La opened her Curious George book and her own water bottle. The bottle was thrilling - definately the best present of the morning. "Own bottle! Favit water!" One of her other favorite toys right now is toy binoculars. She constantly wears them around her neck calling them her "camr." She orders everyone to pose so that she can "smile you." Then she pretends to take your picture and makes a click noise.

Lannah had her semi annual measuring and was found to be taller than Bryan and Erin at age 2!
'Lan was nearly as excited as Erin about tiny little Polly Pockets. Later she washed her babies in her new bathtub before her own bath.

Finally, my girls played Polly's before bed. Two years ago... it seems like a blink ago I was nursing her and rocking her to sleep. Now she tells me "Dark Mommy. Dark" and I leave the hall light on for her until Erin comes up.

Spring is on it's way

So it has been over a month since our last entry and I'm starting to get complaints!!

We have had a bit of crazy weather over January and February. I took pictures when it warmed up and the kids ran outside right away.

The snow was higher than the chickens!

The deer had been digging up a storm under our apple trees and leaving tracks into the woods.

Of course the kids began to immediately build "The Biggest Snowman Ever!"

Since these pictures were taken, we have had a big meltdown and some actual flooding. I haven't been rerouted on my way to work yet but French Creek in Meadville is almost over it's bank. All part of the spring time fun in western PA.
