Freezing!!

Ok so I concede that -12 is too cold to play outside. So then what choice did we have but find a way to bring the freezing indoors? We experimented to see how long freezing actually takes! Little cups of water with plastic toys were filled with hot water and cold water. Then we left some outside and some in the mud room to see what would happen!

We froze them at 6:30 and by 10:00 they were rock solid and ready for the tub! My scientists conclude that cold water freezes faster than hot and that smaller containers freeze more solid. And that cold ice makes you squeeeeeal in the tub!!!

not exactly a video game

So my love for watching birds is apparently catching. Rick announced the irony this morning that while I am supposedly the bird watcher, he is the one who spends time making feeders, looking for feeders, repairing feeders and filling the feeders! Erin spent almost an hour sitting with her nose up to our new indoor feeder in our bedroom making detailed drawings of the birds that came to breakfast. There are worse ways to spend her time!
