The bunny came to Linesville

The Kellys had a fun filled morning after a visit from the Easter bunny!

Bryan: I had a good break from school(10 days long). I liked my easter basket.

Erin: It was fun. I found the last hidden egg a whole day later.

Bits found that she likes Peanut Butter cups a LOT!

The Newest Kelly

No - we didn't actually have another baby already! haha! This weekend we traveled to Quakertown to meet new Emily Rae Kelly, Uncle Ray and Aunt Jess's beautiful daughter. She is almost one month old and weighs a bit over nine pounds. According Erin, Emily is very cute and compared to Alannah, she is little! It's amazing that a short year ago Alannah was that "little" too! What fun we are going to have at the Kelly Christmas this year!

Snowy Day

The Kelly's are snowed in this weekend! We didn't mind too much though. Erin morphed into a polar bear and dug dens all over her outside realm. Bryan was sick all Saturday night and didn't feel much like playing outside, so he snuggled in and watched movies. Alannah was pleased to see him up and around since he is her main wrestling buddy! When he emerged from his room, she ran over and gave him a big hug!
After "muleing" (snowblowing, burning trash, taking care of chickens, and bringing in wood for the week), daddy is going to make cookies!

Sky Eye

This is the Kelly's first pony. Her name is Sky Eye because of her one blue eye. Both big kids can ride bareback without any help! They walk, trot and maneuver obstacles.

Quotable Lagoon

Erin- (waiting in line) "I don't want to do this one." (while on the slide) "I don't like this! I don't like this!" (at the bottom) "Let's do that again!

Daddy- "I was not going down backwards on that thing again!"

Mommy - (slide lifeguard asked if we wanted kick/pushed down the tube slide) "Definitely pushed! We are repeat customers for this slide!"

Daddy - (at lunch) "Hmmm....This is like a giant public bath."

Daddy - "Bryan! You need to stop running!" Bryan - "Ok!" (takes two steps and runs away)

Bryan - (bailed out of the tube on the lazy river waterfall and the lifeguard almost jumped in) "Splutter! Gasp!" "I am not going through that again! But now I know the water is only 2 feet deep!"

Overall injury report:

Mommy - slight hurty feet from rope ladders

Daddy - wrenched shoulder (not going down backwards effort)

Erin - scratched elbows and knees from lazy river

bruised knees from falling

Bryan - banged elbows on body slide

goose egg on forehead from flailing around the first time on the body slide

Sunday with the Kellys

We love Sundays!

The coffee is on and the fire is roaring hot. Our lists are made and a roast quarter of venison is in the oven. We are set for a wonderful family day.

Today is the day we are going to have cake (or actually pie) for Alannah's first birthday. Erin picked the dinner menu from a book she got from her school library. The menu is as follows:

Mexican hot chocolate
Sweet carrots and grapes
Mashed Potatoes
Cheese Popovers
Roast Venison
Apple pie with ice cream

Yummm!
